What if public bikes would be accessible for any person, at any place and free of charge?

Right!

We would simply use bikes much more often.

Imagine in any city, town and populated area, free public bikes can be found anywhere. Not only pedestrians would often switch to biking but also car drivers and people waiting on a bus...

Beside the increase in mobility and the reduction of car usage, there are several other positive aspects. For example the overall number of bikes in cities is reduced as the usage factor of bikes will significantly increase.
