Testpilot Oehna
Our first project will start directly at our headquarter in Oehna which is a former village but now integrated in the town Niedergörsdorf with approx. 400 residents.
In Oehna we are planing to put between 20 and 50 bikes depending in the project feedback and needs. In this way we want to bring the idea to the people and talk about the project.
In Oehna are no shopping places and only some locations of interest. For example we have a train station, two bus stations, a public swimming pool, some smaller buisnesses and two restaurants. Last but not leat we have the famous “flaming skate” road directly passing through.
Those points of interest are of course daily targets for a bicycle ride but the usage factor for bikes in Oehna is quite low as most targets can be reached even by foot.
Nevertheless Oehna is a good first pilot project to identify problems which can not be seen in advance. We can come into conact with the people and the bureaucracy in ordner to optimize the implemenation. Also we can conclude on bike maintenance and cost factors from the first project feedback.  

As a next step we will aim at a pilot project in a town >10.000 residents.
